Sunday in York

Found York as a recommended place to visit and we needed a night to spend somewhere between Airbnb rentals in London and Keswick. Booked a train from London to York on Sunday at noon to spend the night and then renting a car on Monday to drive around for a couple weeks to explore the lakes district and Scotland.

Had to try out a black cab before we left London and hauling luggage in a bus or tube wasn’t doable.
London traffic, bikes and pedestrians is wildly under control
Hanging out at the coal yards by kings cross before the train departure
Nice table setup for the rail trip
High speed!
York arrival just before the pigeon exploded when it hit the overhead electrical line
Checked into the riverside hotel and walked over to the York rail museum
Sunday roast in York!

York sightseeing on Monday before the road trip
Cupcakes!
